Terms of Service

These terms govern the managed website service provided by LaunchSite, operated by [SWAP: registered business name & address] ("we", "us"). By signing up for a plan you agree to them. Questions? Email hello@welaunchsites.com.

The service

LaunchSite designs, builds, hosts and manages a simple professional one-page website for your business, and looks after the technical side on an ongoing monthly basis. We deliver a first draft of your website within 3 working days of completed onboarding. Onboarding is complete once your plan is active and we have the information we need to build your site (your business details, services, contact information, opening hours, logo and any photos). A first draft is not the same as a live website; your site goes live once you've approved it and any domain/email setup is complete.

Fees & taxes

• No upfront build fee. Your first website draft is built free.
• £39.99 per month + applicable taxes. For UK customers, VAT is added where applicable. For customers outside the UK, any local taxes are your responsibility. The exact tax treatment is confirmed at checkout or invoice stage.
• Fees are billed monthly in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law.

Minimum term

Plans run on a 24-month minimum term. This allows us to include the build at no upfront cost and spread it across the plan, alongside hosting, SSL, a standard domain, email forwarding and ongoing updates. After the minimum term the plan continues on a monthly basis until cancelled (see Cancellation).

What's included

• A free one-page website build
• Hosting and SSL (secure https)
• A standard domain name, registered and managed for you
• One professional email forwarding address (e.g. hello@yourbusiness.co.uk forwarded to your inbox)
• Up to 60 minutes of standard website updates each month (text, images, prices, opening hours and similar). Unused time does not roll over.
• Ongoing maintenance, security and keeping your site online

What's not included

• Premium or non-standard domains (quoted separately)
• A full send-and-receive business mailbox (available as a £9.99/month add-on; the plan includes email forwarding only)
• Online shops / e-commerce, bookings systems, multi-page or bespoke web applications
• Unlimited changes, full redesigns, or work beyond the 60 minutes/month of standard updates (additional work can be quoted)
• Third-party costs such as paid apps, stock photography licences or paid advertising

Domains & ownership

If we register a standard domain for your business, it is managed by LaunchSite while your plan is active. You may request a transfer of the domain to your own registrar account, subject to registrar rules and any minimum registration periods; we won't unreasonably withhold a transfer. If you already own a domain, it remains yours and we simply help connect it to your LaunchSite website. The content you provide (text, images, logo) remains yours; you're responsible for having the right to use it.

Payments & missed payments

If a payment fails, we'll notify you and retry it. If the account remains unpaid, we may pause or suspend your website after 7 days until payment is brought up to date. Suspension does not end the minimum term or outstanding fees. We'll always try to reach you before pausing anything.

No performance promises

We provide and maintain a professional website. We do not guarantee leads, sales, enquiries or Google rankings, and nothing on this site or in our communications should be read as such a promise. Results depend on many factors outside our control.

Cancellation

Your plan runs for the 24-month minimum term. After that, you can cancel with reasonable notice (normally 30 days) and your site and any managed domain/email services will stop at the end of the paid period. On cancellation you can request a copy of your content and, where possible, a transfer of your domain.

Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for downtime caused by third-party providers or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change we'll let you know by email or on this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
